Valhalla | Antelope Island

SEPTEMBER 26, 2026

Rising from the shimmering waters of the Great Salt Lake, under the gaze of the Wasatch Mountains, lies Antelope Island. This mountainous isle, forged by the receding waters of a prehistoric lake, boasts a network of unforgettable mountain bike trails. It is on this rugged terrain that Valhalla has created the next legendary endurance mountain bike race.

An Epic Challenge for any mortal… Let alone a god.

#DOBattle

THREE Distances | Each an Epic Challenge

Forge your path. 20 Miles, 50 Miles, or 100 Miles. Starting from the untamed shores of the Great Salt Lake, each route plunges into the Island’s most spectacular and demanding singletrack trails. Conquer relentless climbs and tear down exhilarating descents.

Smallhalla - 20 Miles

Smallhalla riders will tackle the stunning vistas of Split Rock loop, and enjoy the flowing singletrack of White Rock loop, before finishing at White Rock Bay. Though the shortest distance, this course is no easy feat; it offers the same fantastic views and abundant wildlife encounters as the longer races. Shorter simply means ride faster, push harder, and challenge your limits without compromise.

Midhalla - 50 Miles

Midhalla riders traverse Split Rock's breathtaking vistas and White Rock's flowing singletrack. Where Smallhalla finishes, Midhalla continues eastward embracing panoramic views of the Wasatch Mountains. Riders conquer the punishing ascent to Sentry Peak and traverse the rugged west side of the island, ultimately rejoining at Split Rock. Riders will make a final push around Buffalo Point and finish at White Rock Bay.

Valhalla - 100 Miles

As Midhalla riders complete their challenge, Valhalla competitors are merely halfway. Saddle up and settle in. You'll conquer another loop, experiencing Mountain View, Sentry, West Side, Split Rock, and White Rock trails not once, but twice—in the morning and again in the afternoon. Some call it perfect; others, punishing. We call it Valhalla, #BattleOn.

Your Private Island for A Day

For one glorious day in September, Antelope Island trails will be closed to the public. Each Valhalla distance is a closed course. Forget the crowds and distractions. It’s just you, your bike, your competitors, and the majestic bison and antelope that inhabit the island.

While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, this extraordinary island tends to provide unforgettable encounters on these very trails.

FOr Whom do you ride?

In Norse mythology, Valhalla is the hallowed hall where fallen heroes find eternal glory. We invite each participant to ride in honor of a hero who has passed on. On race day, bring a physical token of remembrance. These poignant mementos will be gathered onto a vessel and, in a truly unforgettable ceremony, released to the waters of the Great Salt Lake, sending them onward to their eternal rest in Valhalla.
